.Origin of the yarn

In following the evolution of  “Compact Spinning”, yarn producers have encountered several difficulties in order to obtain good results as far as quality and aspect of the final product are concerned.

For example, the most relevant insufficiency in the knitting sector has been encountered in a lack of “hand-feel” and in the total absence of volume on the items made.  

After having studied the problematic regarding the various productive contests, the solution has been found with the new-patented LASERFIL system.

This new spinning process, which follows the classical system of draft and various methods of compacting, represents the system on the market which can most be exploited.  

The yarn, compacted with LASERFIL, maintains that minimum quantity of hairs to guarantee the final product a perfect hand-feel.

A substantial increase in length and strength, a better CV% Uster value on the yarn and a better result as far as Pilling is concerned.

The LASERFIL is an accessory, which is very simple to use, and which can be installed on any existing spinning frame, both long and short staple fibres.

The results obtained during the working process and the simplicity of use by the operator permit the achievement of the best results in the quality requested.   

LASERFIL is without doubt the most efficient system available on the market in the competition of compact yarns.

Origin of the yarn scheme

Condensation, by means of Laserfil, permits a drastic

reduction in the hairiness of yarn and an increase in the

Dynamometric resistance and % of length in the yarn 

itself;

The reduction in the hairiness of the yarn increases

furthermore the resistance of the finished product as far

as abrasion is concerned, with a reduction of Pilling.

The yarn has a cleaner, brighter and more uniform aspect;

A higher resistance also permits a more homogeneous

and regular working process, at an inferior cost and 

better quality.

The principle of compacting with the patented Laserfil system happens by applying thrusts converging from opposite directions on the two halves of a whole of fibres placed on a drafting roller, in such a way as to make them converge towards the middle part of the roller itself. When these fibres are compacted they form a compact, homogeneous nucleus suitable to act as PRESSED YARN before the twisting phase.

 

The patented Laserfil system is a device in which a compacting roller can be pressed against each drafting roller. This compacting roller is then pulled into the rotation of the drafting roller by means of two cylindrical parts got at its ends, which are in contact with the drafting roller itself. (See fig. 2)

 

The compacting roller gives the fibres a thrust towards a central throat, thus carrying out an operation of reliable, precise and gradual compacting.  

Laserfil fitting on spinning frames

Description of items for application:

 

  • Support which holds two rollers complete with a system for clasping and loading of pressure on contact;

  • Movement happens by means of contact with the drafting roller of the spinning frame;

  • The Laserfil system has the possibility of being placed on, or removed from the spinning frame by means of a special lever;

  • Every unit of Laserfil serves two spindles;

  • The Laserfil system can be installed on any type of existing spinning frame, both long and short staple fibres.
